
Zaina Waturi Kombo is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a Woman Human Rights Defender. She has over 7 years’ experience human rights and development with a mix of both grassroots organizing and policy influencing. She holds an LLB and LLM in Law, Governance and Democracy both from the University of Nairobi (UoN). She is an active member of FIDA- Kenya, ICJ – Kenya and the Law Society of Kenya. She holds a certificate on Gender Mainstreaming in AU Peace Support Operations, a trained budget facilitator on Gender Responsive Budgeting (By Institute of Public Finance Management – Kenya), Results Based Project Management (by Swedish Development Agency) and trained on Inclusion and Nondiscrimination (by LSU – Sweden).
In her years of experience she has worked with the youth and women in efforts to prevent violent extremism. In her current role she is involved in peace and security initiatives geared towards security accountability in African countries through capacity building and supporting grassroots human rights organizations in Kenya and beyond.
Zaina Kombo believes that women still need to fight for their space in development and decision making processes as the “Glass ceiling” has proved to have numerous layers in different contexts of the world.

Patricia Nelima Simiyu is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a bias in Human Rights. She currently works as a program Officer at the Equality Effect, a Canadian non-profit charity that uses international human rights law as a tool to access justice for women and girls around the world. Prior to this, Patricia worked in a number of Organizations namely; Lawyers Without Borders (LWOB), Community Education and Empowerment Centre (CEEC), Kenya Legal and Ethical Issues Network on HIV and AIDS (KELIN), the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights(KNCHR) and the Federation of Women Lawyers Kenya (FIDA Kenya).
Patricia has a wide range of experience in implementing human rights programs ranging from sexual and reproductive health rights, land and property rights and general human rights complaints processing. She has similarly implemented projects touching on leadership and governance, positive masculinity and gender. Patricia has a rich experience in public engagement, media engagement and program design and implementation. She has organized events and trainings for prosecutors, lawyers, police and general public in a range of human rights related issues.
Patricia is a member of the Law Society of Kenya, FIDA Kenya and Amnesty International Kenya.

Elizabeth Ngundi is a seasoned governance and executive support professional with over 26 years of progressive experience in corporate administration and leadership within the Real estate & Insurance sectors. She currently serves as Chief of Staff, where she provides strategic coordination, executive oversight and governance support to senior leadership.
She also served for five years as a Market Development Officer, contributing to business growth initiatives, stakeholder engagement, and market expansion strategies.
Her areas of expertise include corporate governance, board administration, procurement processes, event planning and management, business administration and professional report writing. She is highly proficient in computer applications and modern office systems, enabling efficient operational management and executive coordination.
Elizabeth holds a Diploma in Business Management & Administration, a Certificate in Leadership & Management, a Professional Secretarial qualification and certification in Computer Applications.

Anthony Kahuho Mburu is an experienced finance professional with a demonstrated track record of transformational leadership, performance, and delivery across different industries with over 15 years of experience. Skilled in Driving performance, Regulatory Management, Financial Control, Taxation, Planning and Budgeting, Regulatory Reporting, Statutory accounting under IFRS, Risk Management, and Internal Audit.
Mburu is experienced in Board reporting and senior leadership, and is a CPA (K) who also holds a BCom (Hons) in Accounting from Catholic University of Eastern Africa, backed by an MBA in Strategic Management from United States International University. He is also a private pilot who also uses his free time bush flying and hobby flying.
