CHAGI (Creating HIV/AIDs Awareness and Girl Child Initiative) was founded specifically to advocate against the stigma faced by PLWHA in Marsabit County. As part of that project, we carried out community sensitization that resulted in the opening of HIV testing and counselling centers in 9 wards within the Moyale subcounty.

In our drive to ensure that girls are getting equal opportunities towards their education, we have started a free sanitary pads initiative where we seek to create free access to sanitary pads. We are currently partnering with the Adopt-a-Girl initiative where we provided a 12-month supply of sanitary pads to 8 girls at Aongedhiang' Primary School, and the Restoring Dignity Foundation in Korogocho where we are also keeping another 8 girls in school by ensuring that they have a year's supply of sanitary pads.

Trauma informed therapy has been deemed a necessity in a survivor's journey towards healing, and yet it remains wildly inaccessible due to economic restraints. Through the trauma-informed therapy initiative, the Africa Women Justice Hub has been providing SGBV survivors with free access to licensed therapists.

Access to legal aid is crucial for indigent individuals whose rights have been violated. The Africa Women Justice Hub provides legal assistance to vulnerable individuals who need legal assistance attain justice. The organization collaborates with like-minded institutions and pro bono advocates to facilitate strategic litigation and refer cases as needed. We also facilitate legal clinics in vulnerable communities where the members would otherwise not have access to legal advice on key matters that affect them.

A big part of CHAGI's success with HIV/AIDs Advocacy was rooted in community awareness, which is why we have continued to sensitize communities on key issues related to sexual and reproductive health and rights. We continue to especially engage vulnerable community members on their right to remain free from violence, coercion and discrimination.

The Sports as Therapy initiative was founded as a way to keep children in the marginalized communities from feeling forgotten by the system. By sponsoring their football team and tournaments, we were able to restore their faith, not just in us as a society, but also in themselves as valued members of the society. Currently, we recognize that these sports teams improve the children's mental health, improve their sense of belonging, and teach them to become even more valuable and active members of the society.
